The objective of MCA is to develop information and technology professionals and blend theoretical knowledge with practical skills. This is achieved by bridging the gap between the academia and industry and incorporating the latest technologies of the industry in the syllabus.

- Electives: In addition to the core courses and specializations, the MCA program offers a range of elective courses in emerging areas such as Machine Learning, Big Data & Analytics, Cryptography and Networking Security, Cloud Computing and Web Programming. These courses are designed to help students stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the field.
- Digital Content: Apart from classroom teaching, the students get access to the extensive digital course materials, PPTs, assignments for each course.
- Practical Learning: The MCA program at ISME emphasizes practical learning, with classrooms equipped with smart boards and wireless speakers to give theory + practical learning experience to learners. We provide opportunities for students to participate in intercollege computer-science fests, datathons, hackathons etc. These events provide students with hands-on experience and the opportunity to work on real-world problems.
- Interdepartmental Courses: The MCA program offers interdepartmental courses, which allows students to take courses from other departments and gain a broader understanding of topics beyond computer science.
- Placement Training: The COC department at ISME provides placement training, with mock interviews, placement assistance and other resources to help students prepare for job interviews and launch their careers in the IT industry.
- Project: The MCA program requires students to complete a mini project in third semester and a major project in the fourth semester. This gives students the opportunity to conduct research in a specific area of interest and gain experience.

1. Programming Essentials in Python by CISCO NetAcad
The certificate course in Python covers all the basics of programming in Python, as well as general computer programming concepts and techniques. The course also familiarizes the student with the object-oriented approach.
Course overview – Python is an interpreted, object – oriented, high-level programing language with dynamic semantics. The Python interpreter and the extensive standard library are available in source or binary form without charge for all major platforms, and can be freely distributed
2. Networking Essentials and Cyber security by CISCO NetAcad
Practice and build real networking skills with CCNA and CCNP certification aligned curriculum.
3. Azure AI Engineer Associate by Microsoft
Azure is Microsoft’s public cloud computing platform which offers range of cloud services such as compute, networking, storage, analytics and more. This course teaches how those Azure services can be put together to enable developer to design, implement, operationalize, monitor, optimize and secure all AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
4. Amazon Web Services (AWS) & Cloud Architecting by Amazon
Cloud Architecting covers the fundamentals of building IT infrastructure on AWS. The course is designed to teach solutions, architects how to optimize their use of the AWS cloud by understanding AWS services and how they fit into cloud-based solutions.
This course provides opportunities for students to build a variety of infrastructures through a guided, hands-on approach.
Admission to the MCA program at ISME is highly competitive. The Admissions team reviews applications on an individual basis looking at both quantitative and qualitative aspects of an applicant’s professional and academic background. An elaborate selection process is followed to ensure quality enrolment.
Eligibility:
A candidate with any degree of a minimum of 3 years duration (10+2+3) of Bangalore University or of any other University equivalent there into with a minimum of 50% of marks in the aggregate of all subjects including languages, if any, provided further, that the candidate has studied Mathematics / Computer science /Business Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications / Electronics as a subject at PUC level or equivalent HSC (XII Standard) or at Degree level is eligible for admission to MCA Course. Relaxation to SC/ST, Group I be extended as per University norms.
General Criteria
Applicants are selected on the basis of their predicted grades. Final admission is based on the cumulative assessment of the Graduation results and personal interview.
Selection Process:
Stage 1: Complete MCA Application Form (Online)
Every applicant seeking admission to ISME needs to complete the Application Form, attach the required documents and submit the entire application online
Stage 2: Personal Interview (Online / Face to face)
Stage 3: Admission Decision
Based on the review of the application, test scores and the recommendation of the interview panel, the admission committee invites selected students for admission to the program. Admitted candidates are sent the Admission Offer letter. The admission would be final only after the receipt of confirmation of Admission Acceptance from the candidate and the payment of the registration fee. Fee once paid is non-refundable.
